Emma is an animator and illustrator living in Melbourne Australia.
Working full time in the animation industry for over 20 years. She completed the Victorian College of the Arts Postgraduate Diploma in Animation in 1994 before commencing her professional career.
She has covered many aspects of animation, from 3D and computer games, tv series and works for iOS applications, feature films and traditional hand drawn short films. Gaining experience on many different visual styles of animation and techniques.
Most notably Sarah Watts award winning film “Look Both Ways” and most recently the animated feature “Dogstar – A Christmas in Space” Directed by Scott Vanden Bosch.
Many of the films that she has worked on have been internationally acclaimed, and in 2005 she travelled with her co directors to the Sundance Film Festival to represent the short film “Its Like That”.
Emma has been lead animator on several computer games and apps for various companies including Lost in the Machine, Millipede, Current Circus and Tantalus Media. This involved being responsible for the animation pipeline – supervising a team of animators from the rigging of 3D characters to animation, and incorporation into the game environment.
Illustration is also an integral part of Emma's art practice. Focusing on scientific and detailed natural history subjects.
